Amy Firestone Rosen Slips
"Slips," an exhibit of mixed media two dimensional work by St. Louis artist and graphic designer Amy Firestone Rosen will be on display in the Bonsack Gallery from Sept. 3 - Sept. 28, 2010. The subjects of the work are vintage slips, which according to the artist, represent an aspect of iconic femininity in America. The subsequent large, layered images include waterless lithographic and silk-screened prints, as well as a variety of drawn and digital applications. Rosen holds a BFA from The University of Kansas and also studied at Washington University School of Fine Arts and The University of Missouri St. Louis School of Fine Arts. Rosen's prints have been included in numerous local and regional exhibits since 2005. All are invited to a public reception hosted by the artist from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 3. Regular gallery hours are 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., weekdays. The exhibit is free to the public. For more information, contact Donya Allison (Fine Arts) at 314.993.4040, ext. 229
